Warrigal Queanbeyan

Warrigal welcomes Queanbeyan’s Multilingual Centre to Warrigal Queanbeyan.

Queanbeyan Multilingual Centre Director, John Gunn, Interpretor Karolina Vladic, Employment Consultant Nigel Maloney and Senior Service users were welcomed by Warrigal Queanbeyan Residential Care Manager Otto Mahlaba and Client Services Consultant Samantha Garcia on Wednesday 19th November to visit Warrigal Queanbeyan.

The group enjoyed a morning tea with the residents, received a Warrigal sample bag and were provided with a tour of the residential care home. The ladies were given information on the process involved in accessing  aged care services and how to apply for residency in a residential care service. The ladies were also interested in the independent living units and the steps involved in moving into a  retirement village.

All were pleasantly surprised by the individual care options available at Warrigal Queanbeyan and the beautiful grounds and surroundings of the site. This is the commencement of a new link between the Multilingual Centre and Warrigal Queanbeyan, with Warrigal staff being available to provide information sessions to the seniors who utilise the centres programs.
